Corruption may be a global phenomenon but India seems to have a special affinity for it. Guess who is the first person to be charged under bribery act, passed on July 1, was? Munir Patel, a 21 year-old-clerk of Indian origin, was arrested after THE SUN filmed a man apparently accepting £ 500 to keep the traffic penalty off the legal database. Patel, who is from Dagenham, will be charged with requesting and receiving bribe on august 1, with the intention of "improperly" performing his functions.
Strange Fact!!!
